ELECTRICAL
COMPONENTS SDN BHD was established in 1978 with an
initial paid up capital of RM178,000. It was bought over by
the existing shareholders in 1979. The company moved its factory
to the present fully owned location in 1983.
In the beginning, the company
produced A C Power Capacitor with paper impregnated in oil
with hand winders. Later, metallised polypropylene film was
introduced and dry-type capacitor was produced with automated
winders and other automated equipment. This dry-type capacitor
remains in production until today with various modifications
and improvement made to its design and quality.
Over
the years, continuous investments have been made in up-grading
the production capacity, this included the expansion of the
existing factory and acquisition of automated winders. With
the arrival of two final testers in 1997, all finished products
are 100% tested before delivery to ensure the highest possible
quality is maintained. As at beginning 2007, paid up capital
stands at RM2,000,000.
